Digital DJO : With you, For you, Always

As we celebrate the completion of one year of our journey together, I am pleased to present to you the DJO Mobile App. Some of you may already be aware that Delhi Journal of Ophthalmology was one of the first ophthalmology journals in India to go fully online in an open access mode. Now in another first, DJO is on your mobile!

Conceived with the aim of enhancing the visibility and accessibility of the journal, this initiative has been the result of a sustained effort and strong commitment towards bringing DJO to your fingertips. The state-of-the-art mobile App has been designed to work on i-phones as well as on Android phones and allows easy access to all the articles published so far in DJO. The interface is intuitive, easy to use and one can search for articles of interest by simply keying in the relevant key words. Articles have been formatted to fit the screen for stress-free viewing and scrolling, and the social tools allow for easy sharing of articles with the peers.
Some notable features of the App are:
All issues of DJO (including current and previous) are available
Easy reading of articles
Searching of articles-by author, title and key words
Notifications to users and the option of customised notifications
And of course, it is free!

The App is fully functional. It was launched by Dr. Promila Gupta, Director General Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India at the Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society held recently. If you haven’t already installed the App, please do so at the earliest. To install on your mobile, visit www.djo.org.in/app or search DJO in your App Store. You could also scan the QR code at the bottom of the page to get started.

It is my hope that the App will prove to be a useful and effective tool to access the journal in an efficient manner. Looking forward to your suggestions and feedback – do write to us on how we can make the DJO App better.

Wishing you all H ‘App’ y viewing!

Warm personal regards,

Prof. (Dr.) Bhavna Chawla
